Sent in my 1990's vintage Porter Cable EHD Screw gun for repair after it stopped working. This repair was completed in a matter of days with the gearing and the clutch assembly checked for lubrication. The labor rate and was very reasonably priced. The owner Kellie kept me notified of the progress and notified me with the tracking information when return shipped to me. A very positive experience and I would highly recommend Kauffman Family Tool Repair!

What a great company! Wish there were more stores like Kauffman Family Tool Repair.
I have an old Milwaukee 5935 belt sander from the mid 80’s. One of the bearings on the front drum was shot, rendering the sander useless. Drum would flop around, and the belts wouldn’t stay on. Normally, I’d toss it and get a new one. But this one belonged to my wife’s grandfather. Scoured the Internet to find a bearing. Even reached out to a company to get a quote on machining one out (flanged sleeve bearing) since it’s not a common size. By sheer luck, I happened to come across Kauffman’s website, and lo and behold, they had the exact front drum assembly. Probably the last one available on the planet. And it was only $20!
I emailed, and Kellie was prompt to reply, confirming that the drum assembly did in fact include the bearings, and she sent along a photo. It, and a couple other items for the sander arrived a couple days later, and I couldn’t be happier.
Fast forward, I’m now restoring an old DeWalt compound miter saw (DW708) that the previous owner left outside for a year. A YEAR! Haha. Suffice it to say, Kauffman was the first place I reached out to for parts. While they didn’t have them in stock, Kellie went one step further and called around to find some of the parts.
Kauffman is the kind of place, that if I lived in the area, I’d show up with a box of donuts for the staff every Sunday morning. LOL
Thanks again Kellie! You guys will be on speed-dial.
