Once again, Kauffman to the rescue. My 20+ year-old Dewalt Reciprocating Saw plastic “clamshell” broke. I already knew certain wear parts could use replacement (shoe and boot), so I looked up the part numbers on another internet site (that didn’t have the obsolete parts), and Kauffman had everything I needed. After I placed the order, I realized that I needed two additional parts, so I emailed them off-hours, and asked that the order be modified to add the additional parts, and to save me an additional shipping charge. The next morning, everything was taken care of with an easy phone call. Less than a week later, my saw has been repaired by me for half the cost of a new model. Thanks KTR!

I needed a replacement shoe and bracket assembly for my 26 year old Porter Cable reciprocating saw. The part is no longer made and I scoured the internet with the part number. Every lead was a dead end as they were no longer in stock. I found one on Ebay that was rusty and beat up for $60. By sheer luck I came upon your business and sent an inquiry (close to the end of business hours) to see if the part number would match. Within minutes there was a response that staff wanted to confirm and would follow up in the morning. The following morning I received an email with photos of the part and the added good news that there was more than one in stock, and the price was more than fair. The customer service was fantastic and I received the part within 2 days. The Smarties in the box were an added bonus.

Found that my kinda old, but trustworthy Dewalt DW987 cordless drill had a cracked case, or “clamshell”. Upon searching for the part from more mainline parts dealers, found that it was out of stock / discontinued, and I was pretty much out of luck; however, I continued down the list of Google hits, until I found Kauffman. Not only was the part IN STOCK, but was cheaper than list, flat rate shipping was more than reasonable given current shipping rates, and I even went ahead and ordered new brushes to extend its life. A week later, everything is back together and I’m more than satisfied with their service!

A small plastic part broke on my Bosch 4000 table saw fence, making the fence and saw almost useless.
After much searching I found the part on the Kauffman website (1 in stock) but before I could complete the purchase the web page said the part was out of stock. This didn’t surprise me because nobody seemed to have it.
What did surprise me was the phone call I got from Kauffman family a few days later saying the web page was wrong, and asking did I still want the part?
I didn’t call them back until after closing; they still picked up the phone and shipped the part that evening.
These are really good people. Buy things from them.

What a great company! Wish there were more stores like Kauffman Family Tool Repair.
I have an old Milwaukee 5935 belt sander from the mid 80’s. One of the bearings on the front drum was shot, rendering the sander useless. Drum would flop around, and the belts wouldn’t stay on. Normally, I’d toss it and get a new one. But this one belonged to my wife’s grandfather. Scoured the Internet to find a bearing. Even reached out to a company to get a quote on machining one out (flanged sleeve bearing) since it’s not a common size. By sheer luck, I happened to come across Kauffman’s website, and lo and behold, they had the exact front drum assembly. Probably the last one available on the planet. And it was only $20!
I emailed, and Kellie was prompt to reply, confirming that the drum assembly did in fact include the bearings, and she sent along a photo. It, and a couple other items for the sander arrived a couple days later, and I couldn’t be happier.
Fast forward, I’m now restoring an old DeWalt compound miter saw (DW708) that the previous owner left outside for a year. A YEAR! Haha. Suffice it to say, Kauffman was the first place I reached out to for parts. While they didn’t have them in stock, Kellie went one step further and called around to find some of the parts.
Kauffman is the kind of place, that if I lived in the area, I’d show up with a box of donuts for the staff every Sunday morning. LOL

I have a Rockwell router model 150M that I purchased almost 50 years ago. The motor cap disintegrated years ago, but was held together with duct tape. Deciding to finally replace it, I found out it is an obsolete part. Found a 88727 cap for a newer Porter Cable from Kauffman ( no one else had it) that actually fit perfectly except for longer #8x32 screws required. Ordered one day, shipped the next day and delivered the very next day.

Kauffman Tool repair is TRUELY a family tool repair business!! I had been searching months for an obsolete "Locking Collar" for my 30+ year old Milwaukee Magnum Hammer Drill. I was referred by Milwaukee service center directly who could not locate the part for me and offered Phil's number to contact in a last-ditch effort to save this tool. Finding limited satisfaction online for some obsolete parts to fix my Makita palm sander, The Google finds me a source for ALL the parts I needed. Not only did the Kauffman Family have in stock [at a better price] the waggy feet, they also had a good quantity of the cast-from-unicorn-tears specialty screws, at a more than fair price.
Also got some feel-good credit for throwing a bit of $$ toward a small business, instead of spending yet more coin with a faceless, thankless corporation.

The ONLY place to find obsoleted parts at reasonable prices. Vintage power tools (50+ years old) are workhorses...solid, dependable & hardworking, but in order to keep those tools going, we need places like Kauffamn Family Tool Repair. In-stock parts for a 1972 Milwaukee rotary hammer ? CHECK! Parts for a 1975 Milwaukee circular saw? CHECK! Parts for a weird Bosch jig saw? CHECK! There was an answer for every part that I asked about (although one or two actually weren't available, but that was the minority). To go even further, there were multiple emails asking for clarification on parts that I wanted (when there were different versions depending on build-date) or helpful suggestions on my order. I have already recommended KF Tool Repair to some friends and I will continue to do so. SUMMARY? Reasonable prices, great selection of hard-to-find parts, out-of-the-world shipping charges ($10 flat rate shipping compared to the $96 a competitor wanted for the same parts!), and gReAt CuStOmEr sErViCe!

I cannot thank Kauffman Family Tool Repair enough! I needed two small parts for a Delta table saw and while they did not have them in stock, I feel like they dropped everything to try to get me these parts as quickly as possible. Other national retailers said it would take about a month to special order the parts, but Kauffman was able to source the parts and get them in my hands in about a week. Kellie stayed in constant contact with me and even followed up after I received the parts to make sure everything worked out. I have a Keiko hammer drill and the chuck screw broke. The local hardware store doesn't carry reverse screws. Couldn't find anything on the drill. Visited ereplacement parts and they couldn't fine anything. Contacted the company and their response was we don't make that and have no parts. No I just need the screw dimensions. Same response. Took my half of slug down to home depot and figured out is was a 10-32 or M5-.8. Couldn't find anyone who had both of them and anyone who did have both said one of them was on back order. Until I found Kauffman, not only did they have them in stock, but it got here in a couple of days. Wife was happy I could finally put up the hose reel today. I was happy to have my hammer drill back.

I needed a part for an older Dewalt router that works great. Dewalt discontinued the part. I couldn't fathom junking a router for a stripped wing nut, but a regular wing nut is too wide, but I couldn't find it locally or on any of the tool parts sites that pop up at the top of a google search. I thought, there has to be a small tool shop out there somewhere who has this part in inventory. After my Harbor Freight miter saw burned up, a friend of mine offered me a Dewalt 12" for free. Said it didn't work. Being a Dewalt , I decided to investigate. Turns out it needed a new armature.

After many many attempts at finding these obselete parts for my Porter Cable 503 belt sander, I was surprised to see that your company actually had them in stock. I was skeptical at first. I plugged in the 1st item and it popped up on your site as being in stock, and the same was true for the next 2 items. Even after your email confirming my ordered, I have to say I was still skeptical because I have been down this road in the past with other parts companies only to have my order cancelled due to "parts are obsolete, no longer available". It was when I got your email that my order has been shipped that I knew indeed the parts were actually in stock. Plus, I just received the parts today and checked it with my sander and yep they are perfect fitting. One other note I have used the same search terms for these parts in the last few yrs and the same sites always pop up...the usual ereplacement parts, toolpartspro,..etc., but for some reason your site popped up this time and I have never seen that before. Dremel, since purchased by Bosch, has discontinued producing some on/off replacement switches for some Dremel rotary tools manufactured over 25 years ago.

Needed a replacement nose cone for my dad's old B&D screwgun. Years ago, he had removed it temporarily to be able to reach a screw in a tight corner. My little sister found it on the table and, not knowing what it was, threw it out. We learned what she had done right after the city picked up our trash. There's been bad blood in the family ever since. Tried buying dad a new screwgun, but nothing doing. He says, "Modern tools are weak!" (He's got a point...) I looked everywhere for a replacement and the folks at Kauffman were the only outfit that still sold parts for such an old tool. The part was shipped and arrived 2 days later, just in time for dad's birthday. Some of the best customer service I've ever seen! We tried the nose cone out on the old screwgun. Fits like a glove! Needed a difficult to find guard for a Bosch hedge trimmer. Part numbers had been superseded by Bosch and no longer available. Kauffman had 1 of the newer part numbers in stock but it was not clear whether it fit. Kellie was very helpful by sending photos and taking measurements to assure a fit before I purchased. I ordered the part on a Tuesday afternoon, it was shipped out Wednesday morning, and I received it Thursday afternoon.

Great and quick service. Kauffman had a hard to find motor in stock for an 18 year old Milwaukee cordless drill. Tool is back in business for the next 18 years. Excellent service. Parts arrived fast and the price was very competitive as well.

Sears had stopped keeping these parts and I found your website by running the part numbers. I have junked tools
lately because of the same reason. Now that I know you stock alot of older things I will keep you in my favorites, because

What a great store. Couldn’t find motor brushes or an elevating gear for my 46 year old Rockwell table saw. Only KF Tool had the parts, and at a very fair price. And they shipped fast. I am up and running in 3 days. Hard to beat.
